The basis of the story about the gingerbread house. According to the surviving information, a fairy tale about two children withby the names of Hansel and Gretel, the Grimm brothers heard from Dorothea Wilt - subsequently she became Wilhelm's wife. Full story is that I am newly a bookstore owner, and my employee and close friend is a major advocate and former patient of a certain inpatient facility, and as a college graduation gift I'd like to make a book donation on her behalf. I have already spoken to the staff and the foundation and they are happy to accept books.

Hansel and Gretel is the story of two German children who discover a house made of confections in the woods near their house. The candy house is inhabited by a witch who feeds the children sweets so she can cook and eat them.

When Gretel is asked to light the fire in order to cook Hansel, she pushes the witch into the oven instead and slams the door.
